There were scenes with Evan interacting with his mom and with his ex that showed the light into this man's soul, that even now brings me to tears because of the beauty of his character. But true love and second chances do prevail. These two will have a bumpy road but in the end their HEA will be sweeter.

Oh my!! I don’t know how the amazing duo of Melanie Shawn is able to write a better, improved, and sexy story than their previous book, but they did it with Fire and Temptation, book 16 in their Hope Fall series which I just loved. Hot shot fire fighter Evan keeps his thoughts and feelings to himself. After getting injured during the last major fire he is at loose ends. The girl he’s loved since middle school is engaged to and pregnant by another man. After being tapped by Kyle Austin Reed to help give technical advice for a film Evan meets the actress Shayne Fox. If love at first sight is possible, then these two have it in spades. As these two spend time together they open to each other, telling things they had never told anyone else. The electricity and chemistry between these two could supply Hope Falls with years of energy. These two are perfect for each other. Evan is the first guy who aroused sexual feelings in Shayne. Evan finally understands that look guys in Hope Falls get when they talk about their wives. There’s so much more to this story that I would spoil it saying more that Evan is my new book boyfriend. He was used to being in control of all things at all times but would he be able to control his heart? She was used to life giving her lemons but would she recognize it when it gave her love?I liked the quiet disposition of Evan. He hasn't had it easy the past few years. Along with being in and out of rehab, Evan and his childhood sweetheart have parted ways. If it wasn't for the strong support of his family and friends he would become a recluse.

I really enjoyed the story of Evan and Shayne getting together however there were a few details that I wished had more resolution in the story.
