Bear in mind that this model came out about about 5 years ago, but it's still very good - some might seek more recent technology although I can't imagine many functions that could be added. I was expecting something smaller but it's quite big and has a solid steel body - so it's a very substantial thing - which I like. I use it at home but it would be good for stage use as I can't see it going anywhere however much you stomp on it!

However, because of the big amount of effects and parameters that can be set and adjusted internally, it takes a little practice to find the menu you are looking for. In preparation, we had to study the manual - but after a few weeks of using the device, we knew exactly how to work with it. Fans of BOSS’s world-famous effects will be pleased to find a lineup of creative effects onboard the RC-30. Bend Down provides a dramatic pitch-bend effect.
