I’d love to see future revisions of this bag have a dedicated pouch or section to store smaller items like batteries and SD cards. This would really help solidify the PRVKE as a bag for photographers. I think this is definitely achievable by re-thinking the layout of the ‘camera cube’ insert. Send newsletters about digital cameras, tips or information about digital photography, or related matters I would probably not bother adding a waist strap to the three smaller sizes of this bag, but I would definitely consider it on the PRVKE 41 if I was really loading it up with camera gear. With a 40+ litre bag, you can definitely reach a weight where it would be helpful to spread some of that load directly to your hips. Sternum strap details. In the long term, I’m confident that this bag will hold up. It really feels like it’s designed to last. The PRVKE allowed me to carry more equipment than I usually could with my LowePro 450 AW II, in part thanks to thin and carefully considered dividers.

The added depth in the PRVKE 41 means the top section feels significantly larger. If you are heading out for a longer hike with this bag, you can easily fit a pair of top layers in there, along with rain pants, binoculars, In-Reach or GPS device and food and water for a long day. Our ultimate destination, the Titcomb Basin, would prove to be a great trial grounds in addition to being just stunningly beautiful. The WANDRD PRVKE is clearly a hipster-style bag, with the fashion-conscious photographer in mind. It draws little attention to itself as a camera bag, but lots of compliments for how unique it looks. Though there’s not a one-size-fits-all camera bag, I think the PRVKE would fit a wide array of body sizes. Did I feel fashionable wearing this? Yup! This bag looks the part, and is very sleek, with a modern design. When choosing the PRVKE that is right for you, all you need to do is analyze what it is you want to carry. Then match that with the recommendations above. If it looks like the PRVKE Lite is the right one for you, do not worry that you are getting some sort of low-end, bottom-of-the-rung version of the PRVKE. This is absolutely not the case. The PRVKE Lite is simply the smallest PRVKE. It looks, feels and acts just like its bigger siblings. PRVKE 21 Vs. 31 In the Wandrd PRVKE 31L, I’m able to fit two Fujifilm X-T4 bodies, three lenses, two flashes, and two flash triggers. I could fit more if I swapped out the Essential Cube for the Pro+, which takes up some of the roll-top storage. I’m able to stash a number of things in the roll-top, from a dual camera strap to a sweatshirt and a lunch. The PRVKE 31 is primarily made from a combination of tarpaulin and robic nylon. Tarpaulin (commonly referred to as tarp) is water phobic, tough, and flexible. Robic nylon, of ubiquitous use in outdoor gear, is equally reliable and known for being very resistant to the elements. These materials do their job very well.

Although the removable Camera Cube was designed with a mirrorless system in mind (a body, plus a large and medium sized lens) the molded dividers make it possible to carry a full frame DSLR with lenses as well. I was able to fit a 5D Mark IV body, a 70-200mm F2.8 lens and a 24-70 F2.8 lens in the cube without any issues. Made of a watertight tarpaulin skin and an inner nylon layer, the WANDRD PRVKE 31 is built to last. All the zippers feel solid and high-quality, similar to those of Thule products. Thanks to its solid construction and well-thought-out design, the PRVKE 31 offers great protection for all types of gear. With lots of weather sealing in addition to a rain fly (sold separately) the PRVKE 31 should stand up very well to the elements. No matter where you end up storing your items, they are sure to be safe. While compiling this section, I discovered that a lot of retailers are also still selling the original, now old, version of the PRVKE. If you want the latest version, make sure you look for some confirmation that this is what you are getting. Some call the new one the “New PRVKE”, some call it “PRVKE V2”, some call it “PRVKE – Second Edition”. If you are unsure whether a third-party retailer will try and sneakily sell you the old version, buy direct from WANDRD! WANDRD PRVKE LiteI’ve used this bag in a variety of different situations and I’ve yet to notice anything major that I didn’t like about it. While it may not be the ideal bag for traveling with multiple camera bodies (although it isn’t impossible), for a one body, two lens shoot that requires me to bring a laptop along, it’s the closest to a perfect bag that I’ve found. Surprisingly, there was still room on the inside to spare for my travel adapters and iPhone / Apple Watch chargers. The overall design of the PRVKE 31 is very efficient. Functionality is tip-top and the materials used are both practical and good looking. There little if any parts to this bag that feel superfluous or unnecessary. In addition to this camera equipment, I also had a 15” MacBook Pro (with charger), INEO SSD case, and a few books. Value for money is always a tough one to gauge since it’s highly subjective. How much do you value how something looks, vs how it functions, for example.

However, don’t dismiss it as a mere accessory for hipsters with more money than sense! It’s much more than that, and has received several awards for its innovation and design. I will say that I’ve seen bags with more loops and customizable features. That being said, the PRVKE 31 succeeded in providing the right kind of customizable options by allowing users to secure large objects snugly on the rear and underneath. Give me a place to put a tripod or sleeping mat and we’re golden. After 2 weeks of intensive usage, the only issue I’ve had is a slight tear to the inside of the left shoulder strap where it connects with the bag. Before we go any further, I need to drop some knowledge on you. The Peak Design Capture Clip is a cheap, game-changing tool for adventure photographers that lets you keep your camera within arm’s reach when hiking or moving about a city, without the camera ever getting in the way when you are not taking photos.Even with an estimated 14kg load, plus the 1.5kg of the bag itself, the weight felt very evenly distributed.

I was told I looked ‘Kawaii’ (cute) whilst wearing it in Japan. Can you design my wardrobe next, WANDRD?! Even though one could get away using elastic chords to arrest these objects, I highly recommend investing in WANDRD’s own adjustable accessory straps. They’re very easy to use and latch simply onto the bag. Users can attach accessories on one of several loops found on the shoulder straps of the PRVKE 31. Outdoorsman may find these a good place for something like a radio while photographers may, as mentioned before, use these for a camera clip. As you can see from the dimensions of the various camera cubes, there is very little difference between the Regular depth and the Plus depth. Just 0.5 inches. If you are shooting with a mirrorless camera you can choose to use either the Regular depth or the Plus depth. This is also the same as choosing between the PRVKE 21 and PRVKE 31 since those are the bags designed for those depths of the cube. I’d be keen to try the smaller 21L PRVKE variant in the future. I think it could be the perfect out-and-about bag, and ideal for short breaks. This would also be really well suited to those with smaller frames, or teenagers who don’t want a bag the size of their torso. For me, I like all my clothing and accessories to be stylish, and that includes my photography gear (where possible!) Since I travel a lot and don’t always take the best care of everything, I also like it to be rugged and hard-wearing. The foam seems dense enough to keep my gear safe yet still feels lightweight enough with a fully loaded bag. Fully loaded with 31L (main) + 4L (roll-top) of gear, the PRVKE does look rather unusual… but in a good way! If you are using a gripped mirrorless camera, a gripped DSLR or a pro-sized camera body such as the Canon R3 or Nikon Z9, you will need to move up to the PRVKE 41 to use either the Essential Deep or Pro Deep camera cube. You cannot use a gripped or pro-sized body in the PRVKE Lite, PRVKE 21 or PRVKE 31. PRVKE Feature Review Harness and Comfort
