About this deal

Polyester: This synthetic fabric comes in a wide variety of forms, but they share in common durability, water resistance, and breathability. No unusual players here. All pantry essentials (here’s my essential spices list, in case you missed it!), the same spices I use in my chilli con carne. However, I use slightly more spices to give the sauce a stronger flavour because less sauce has to go further when it’s used in a hot dog bun compared to serving a big bowl of chili. Am I making sense?? Not sure I’m explaining that well! Another perk of the Boyfriend is that, unlike many pet sweater products, it comes in a wide range of fits that have been proven to comfortably fit dogs of a variety of breeds and sizes. The sweater runs long, and there is adequate give in the materials to fit dogs with various more substantial physiques, all the way up to oversize pit bulls, boxers, and more. The Boyfriend Sweater and the Chilly Dog brand generally stand out in a crowded market of dog sweater options thanks to their accessible prices, top-notch and classic materials, and their ethical manufacturing practices and sustainability. Philadelphia-based pet apparel brand Chilly Dog is an excellent go-to brand for dog sweaters, sweatshirts, and pullovers. Sweaters are the center of its product line; its owners began the business with the primary goal of manufacturing ethically made sweaters with a fair price tag. For 10 years, all of Chilly Dog’s wool sweaters have been hand-knit by highly skilled and fairly compensated artisans in the Northern highlands of South America. The wool used is 100 percent organic and uses natural dyes, with sourcing that embraces Fair Trade guidelines.

These chili dogs will be delicious on any bun you like. What type of hot dogs should I use? Kranksy’s – a deli staple at large supermarkets (Coles, Woolies – see here online, Harris Farms). Get the smoked ones, if you can, but even un-smoked are 20x better than the “footy franks”

Bake for 10 minutes –Top with cheese then bake for 10 minutes just to melt the cheese. Pull out of oven and start getting excited about sinking your teeth into these chili dogs!!! Cook chili sauce– The chili sauce starts off like your everyday chili con carne. Sauté onion, garlic and capsicum. Cook the beef until it’s browned, then stir the tomato paste for a minute to cook out the sour raw flavour. Add the tomato puree and cook out for a couple of minutes, then add the tinned tomatoes and cook out for 5 minutes until reduced by half. Stern, Jane and Michael (2002). Roadfood. To store leftover chili dogs, start by placing the chili and hot dogs in separate airtight containers. Then put them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. When ready to indulge again, simply reheat them in the microwave or on the stovetop. However, if frozen, allow them to thaw out overnight in the fridge before reheating. Other Delicious Recipes To Try

Why European smoked sausages are better –More meat, less fillers, they’re seasoned with flavour, and fatter so you get more sausage! They are smoked so they are technically cooked but most are usually grilled or pan fried before serving. Makes them even tastier. Randall, Mike (October 4, 2018). "Texas hot: a Wellsville tradition for 96 years". WKBW-TV. Archived from the original on October 5, 2018 . Retrieved October 4, 2018. White onion –Optional! This is a direct copycat of the way the chili dogs are served at Ben’s Chili Bowl. A little sprinkle of finely chopped white onion brings a hint of freshness in amongst all that moorish, spicy, saucy goodness. I like to use white onion because it’s not as sharp as brown onion. Red onion will also work from a flavour perspective. We always use brioche buns when making hot dogs. They're perfectly soft and toast well without becoming dry. They're also the only buns that freeze really well, so we always have some in our freezer. Certain dog breeds can benefit from sweaters more than others. Consider whether your pup falls into the “need” category or whether you’re dressing them up more for cosmetic reasons. Breeds with short or no fur are one of the major target groups for sweaters and other overwear, since they struggle to generate and retain body heat. These breeds include American hairless terriers, Chinese crested dogs, and Mexican hairless dogs, among others. Chihuahuas, dachshunds, and other small breeds are also targets for well-insulated sweaters, along with low-rider dogs and thin and muscular pup breeds.

The ingredients are no different to my classic chili con carne except the ratios of the spices are a little different (more!). And there are no beans in this chili sauce so it’s smoother and sits in/on the hot dog better. Prevent soggy buns. Don’t skip toasting the buns. It not only adds another layer of texture but also creates a barrier that prevents them from becoming soggy when loaded with chili.
