Somehow having a character resembling a moth but making it so cute and lovely, makes this such a lovely read, and it’s definitely a book me and my family will enjoy sharing again! Bookwagon suggests it for a bedtime snuggling read, with opportunity for sharing often alongside reading, knowing and reciting alone too. It is a time when she gathers light for others who need it the most to travel at night like her friend Sable, the fox and, on another night she helps Luna, a frightened owl. Recommended to picture-book readers who enjoy stories about fairies, forest animals, and any combination thereto. They are part of the reason it has a hopeful and somberness to it and the detail and colors are stories in themselves.

Tiež má tento krátky príbeh krásnu myšlienku o dobrote, ktorá sa nám vždy vráti rovnakým dielom, akým ju vyšleme do sveta. However, Ella had one wish, to see the sunrise, but her wings were so delicate that the light from the sun would break them, so as morning approached Ella always retreated to her little nook in a tree. Aiding and befriending Sable the fox and Luna the owl, with whom she spent her nights in play, Ella led a very happy life. It would be a nice addition to most storytime collections in that it has a repeating verse to encourage participation from attendees.

The story follows a teeny girl named Ella, who cannot go out into the sun as the sun would burn her very delicate wings. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! So, when the moon is high, she collects as many shimmering beams of light she can find - a twinkle from a star, the glow from a lamp post. While it also offers a cute side of a moth, I really appreciated the book's uniqueness, and I think the students would like it as well.

Sadly, she cannot see the sunrise, her biggest dream, because of her delicate wings, but her friends work together to make her dream come true. Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling.Non seulement distribue-t-elle de la chaleur aux gens, elle prend sous son aile un renard, puis un petit harfang ( hibou des neiges) et finalement, c'est une vraie ménagerie qui suit la petite fille-papillon. Also, I can teach kids to treat others the way you want to be treated because in the end all of Ellas friends get together and help her with her dream. I found the visuals here very appealing, appreciating both the wintry vistas (something I always enjoy), and the depiction of Sable (unsurprising, as a fox lover). Thereafter, she shares ‘ her light with anyone who [needs ] some help finding their way in the dark‘. I love the concept of this story Ella uses her night light to give others Hope and she helps them out with their problems.

Lucy Fleming est sans doute l'une de mes illustratrices préférées, mais arriver à rendre justice à une si belle histoire par un rendu visuel aussi détaillé, adorable et original, franchement, ce n'est pas donné à tous. There's tons of detail and texture in every page with lots of extra bits of 'light' that really make this magical. Ella, a little girl who lives in an old oak tree, spends her nights awake collecting pieces of starlight, reflections of the moon and lamplights. Although she had previously illustrated many picture-books and beginning chapter-books, UK artist Lucy Fleming made her authorial debut with the 2020 Ella's Night Lights, which tells a sweet tale of a helpful little fairy (a word not used in the narrative), and how her kindness was rewarded. The story has strong messages of friendship, positivity and support and the need for self-awareness. Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned.
