She met accountant and partner Jasper Crane when she and Toni went to see the disappearing body with Edward. Agatha and her assistant, Toni, are driving to their friend Bill Wong's wedding, thinking of nothing more than what the beautiful bride will be wearing when a terrified young man comes running down the country lane towards them wearing. I took a star off for the conclusion because the only thing that disappointed me was the ending, as I found it unrealistic.

The next time she sees Bert at the village of Carsely's pub, the Red Lion, where he is with his friends, and has already told them that he saw Agatha without clothes. Maybe it is me, as I haven't read an Agatha Raisin book for a while, but Agatha has become vainer about her looks. Some old fans may quibble about changes in the series, but it is at least on a renewed steady course and provides a regular cozy read.Whether these were from a 'raging against the dying of the light' or just attempts to make radical changes to the formula, they struck wrong notes for me and resulted a few 1 and 2 star reviews. C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin mysteries:'Irresistible, unputdownable, a joy' Anne Robinson'Full of perfectly pitched interest, intrigue, and charm' Lee Child'Agatha is like Miss Marple with a drinking problem, a pack-a-day habit and major man lust. In the meantime, Agatha’s hectic life swirls along at dizzying pace, her private detective agency as busy as ever and her private affairs in turmoil – old loves to contend with and a new suitor on the scene. Agatha and Toni are on their way to a wedding when a naked man runs out into the road to tell them he's just found a body. They think they see things that aren't real when a man tries to stop them, looking as if he wants to say something.

When they reach the spot, however, there is nothing on the large, flat rock except a small wet patch. Agatha and Toni are on the way to a wedding when they are stopped by a naked man who says he's just found a dead body. The mystery wasn't much of one in terms of who did it, and there is one thread left hanging which irritated me a bit.

Agatha has time to make two new romantic conquests, of whom one will likely make future appearances.
