I actually have had the game since it became available and In my opinion the time the reviewer spent on it is more than enough to review it. The promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winner, including, but not limited to, age and eligibility to enter, and to refuse to award the prize, or withdraw prize entitlement, where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotion's entry requirements.

Obviously, it still feels like FIFA – the controls are mapped the same way and as such the method of attacking, defending and scoring is much the same across all versions. For me portability is the killer feature with this version of Fifa so I'm in and as ultimate team is my main gig it has the main guts I want. Described as a “custom” version of FIFA, the best way to look at the Switch version of FIFA 18 is that it’s almost the same as FIFA 16 elsewhere, with a few minor tweaks and the current squads/kits and all that good stuff. It's clear as daylight that reviews are driven by personal opinions, but I don't trust scully1888's scores. Local Seasons: Match-up with a friend, play a five-match season, and keep track of your overall win/loss record. All of this makes it a stay away for hardcore fans; but for first-timers and families looking for some fun soccer, I think it works perfectly well as a stripped down port. With a variety of controller and display configurations available, as well as split Joy-Con™ support, FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch offers a responsive and engaging gaming experience – no matter how you play. SLIGEACH_EIRE Nintendo's online is pretty bad, but I don't see how it's their fault and there's alone that you can't play FIFA with friends. Whereas EA has explained the absence of modes wholesale, there is no current explanation for the slimming down of these options in content that does exist.

Fans of the FIFA series will immediately be able to get to grips with the game as soon as they start playing, because at its core this is ‘proper’ FIFA, not the odd bespoke versions on Wii and 3DS back in the day.

On the pitch, FIFA for Switch feels remarkably similar to the full-sized console version - it’s a deep and gloriously entertaining football simulation. I'm actually been quite impressed by the myriad of options available, and I've been particularly thrilled that the Turkish league is available (I last bought Fifa 12 on 3DS and was very annoyed to find out that they were completely excluded). Think of it as a card collecting game, where the cards you obtain are the players and your plan is to create the best team you can. Playing against mates is one of the main reasons for FIFA’s success, and without bragging rights at stake, competing against randoms online just doesn’t have the same appeal.

If a game is missing a fundamental game mode that other versions have had for literally a decade then it deserves to be marked down. What you will need is an internet connection, though, as the whole mode will not operate without one. If you disagree with my opinions that's completely fine – variety makes the world go round – but please don't suggest you "don't trust" me or that my opinion lacks "credibility". For all those people going on about xbox one and ps4 versions being the ones to go for is all well agood if you own one of those consoles. It should be judged on what it is, what it does or doesn't have and how it compares to the competition, not given a free pass.Sure, offline kick-offs are available and the game boasts a nifty (albeit limited) split Joy-Con control method to kick about with your mates but no online? Probably, if you just play the Switch version and just read NL reviews you don't even know what is missing. I’d like a wider range of commentators to choose from – with Gary Neville being a personal favourite in the co-commentator role – but that’s my Spurs bias kicking in. In addition, authentic animations for volleys, shooting and tackling offer a fluid and rewarding gameplay experience. ran great although the graphics do become slightly noticably worse (due to scaling) its still not bad at all and so far a great game.
