However, I have been pleasantly surprised by how gripping and entertaining they are, and have now read every single one.

Than in the now time we have Nancy who is going through a lot of trauma and facing trauma from her past as she goes back to tall chimneys the house that Elizabeth use to run. As each chapter reveals things regarding Nancy, the alternating chapters tell the story of Elizabeth and her guests in Tall Chimney’s, what happened during the war. Henry was not a nice man, but he had his demons from the First World War, you get the impression he only married Elizabeth because she owned Tall Chimney’s, a beautiful house with amazing views.I was left with a few questions towards the end but thankfully these were checked off in the form of a letter from the past that Nancy finds, giving the story it’s closing.

The POV of Elizabeth - doing her best to stay strong, keep secrets, and find light in the tragedy of WW2 - soon became my favourite storyline. I do believe the level of trauma before the big reveal implied a larger moment and it felt again like the narrator's image was being protected rather than exploring the trauma that links the assault and the murder. It seemed that every time she did something bad it was really only an accident, or she was made to do it.I really like the premise which starts by examining the implications of serious crime on the perpetrators family.

Through the introduction of the second plot line in the Second World War, Nancy’s world starts to interlink with that of Elizabeth, who has her own story to tell …. I thought this was portrayed well and made me think about how difficult this must be for those who’s reality this may be. Coming to Find You is brilliantly structured because just when you feel you can’t bear the tension of Nancy’s first person, intimately told, story any longer, there is respite.

Coming to Find You by Jane Corry is a Thriller chock full of secrets and surprises, some pleasantly unpredictable.

Also there is so many secrets she talks about and in the second pov you find some out, and therefore when the first pov finds it out, its not a shock, you already know. I found the second part with her step-brother a bit over the top although I had sympathy for Nancy’s feelings of betrayal. The house almost feels like a character in its own right, and definitely takes on the mood of the inhabitants. I loved the way morality is presented because here we have characters we should abhor as killers and liars, and yet they are people the author makes us care about. The suspense from both timelines held you gripped I literally could not put this book down, an atmospheric, engrossing plot that will keep you guessing. Even with a decidedly unlikable husband in the neighbourhood, she is merely trying to make the best of a horrible time in her life.
