With an offering of dedicated controls and a built-in expression pedal, you can tweak and change the effects sound, simply and easily. The easy select function allows you to choose patches by genre, distortion, or effect type, while the easy edit function lets you tweak drive, modulation, and echo tones to find the perfect sound for your playing style. Purchase a straight amplifier (new or old) with no bells and whistles and add the GT1 between your guitar and the amplifier . You just activate whichever effect you want (you can have more than one on at a time) and adjust the parameters with the 1,2,3 knobs. Perfectly useable via it's own interface (ism a little clunky), but patches can be more easily managed by connecting to a PC and using the freely available Boss software.

It’s quite a bit more expensive than the other options, but if you have the budget, it’s definitely worth your attention. The Boss GT-1 is the baby brother of the GT-100, a fantastic modeling pedal that offers some great FX and amp sims, so we were really curious to see how the more affordable unit stacked up.This actually does make a big difference and the end result is far more musical and acceptable to the ears.

With a lightweight and portable design, the GT-1 provides a range of controls and features that make it perfect for travelling musicians. These simulations don't really cut the ice as an adequate replacement for a true amp driving a speaker the quest for digital replacement will never be fulfilled it would seem. Generally, these cookies are only created based on actions you take in response to a service request, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling out forms. Editing the patches on the unit is easy, but I prefer to edit them via the Boss Tone Studio software, which makes it even easier and, again, I would recommend this option.

Bought this as a replacement for my GT10 that unfortunately had two of the dials broken off, so decided to put the repair cost money towards a new unit.

This guitar pedal is really easy to use straight out of the box so even if you're a bit of a technophobe, you'll find yourself fully immersed in the GT-1 for hours on end.

There aren’t quite as many options to choose from as on the Boss, but they are all tonally excellent. A range of control buttons are simply laid out for easy access, allowing both professions and novice musicians to enjoy the pedal to its fullest potential.
