Eve defends Mark, however, telling her that even though Mark was bad at time management, he was a good guy. Atom Eve is based off of Star Sapphire from DC Comics, though her subatomic manipulation power is based on Firestorm and some aspects of Green Lantern known for constructing physical objects from thought. Mark's friends ask him how his mother is doing, and he tells them that it wasn't good. He doesn't know what to say and tells them that he felt empty inside, and nothing seems real. He asks if they can talk about something else, but William tells him that everybody in the whole world was talking about it, which angers Eve and Amber. Mark gets a call and leaves as Cecil tells him he needs him. Cecil tells him that something was flying towards them from deep space.

Sometime later, Samantha would start her career as a superhero known as Atom Eve, aiming to use her powers to fight crime. However, this would draw the attention of Dr. Elias Brandyworth who went into hiding to avoid the government which sought to use her as a weapon in the first place. He warned her not to use her powers since it would risk revealing her existence to the government, though they eventually did discover that Sam was alive from witnessing her use her powers after she choose not to listen to Elias. When it was discovered that the Guardians of The Globe had been murdered she was invited to the funerals. Created in a government lab as a project to make the ultimate superhero, but under control of the U.S. military. The project was spearheaded by Dr. Elias Brandyworth who utilized a woman Polly in the experiments. However, Polly eventually grew attached to her unborn child and wished to protect her from the government and Elias soon came to feel the same way. Matter Transmutation: She later has shown excellent skill in her transmutation powers, being able to warp matter within her environment, creating a large tree house out of thin air, & summon floral life in a barren wasteland. The limit to the amount of matter she can transform at one time is not yet known. She has on at least on one occasion, transmuted an undefined amount of barren farmland into a lush field of bountiful crops. The transformations that Atom Eve induces are apparently permanent unless she undoes them. Her costume is easily created by altering her clothes to fashion her Atom Eve suit. The name Atom Eve sounds very similar to the biblical characters, Adam & Eve in the Christian, Muslim & Judaic Tradition. Rex got jealous when Atom Eve and Invincible arrived together, but they told him they go to the same school.

He says that the world was fine without him, but she tells him that he should do something to help and leaves.
