Description

Corky Marlinson: A world-renowned astrophysicist and a staunch proponent of the authenticity of the meteorite, Corky has little knowledge of proper social conduct. She is 160 feet long, 70 feet in beam, 14 feet in draft, and displaces 560 tons and her diesel-electric propulsion gives her a top speed of 13 knots. The discovery will aid the campaign of her employer, the incumbent president of the United States, Zachary Herney, but put her further at odds with her already estranged father, Senator Sedgwick Sexton, a senator who is running for election.

In Deception Point, bestselling author Dan Brown transports readers from the ultra-secret National Reconnaissance Office to the towering ice shelves of the Arctic Circle, and back again to the hallways of power inside the West Wing. Since after all, one thing is any organization and its inspiring goals, and other the people which manage it, that after all, they are just human beings.

A book with all this information and many events and depth and of course beautiful narrative makes you enjoy very novel and insist that you know the events and of course accept between the topics and events are very beautiful and do not feel anything boring or ordinary. Sexton, Tolland, and Marlinson work together to battle the Delta Force squad, killing Delta Two and Delta Three.

The action moves to the Arctic pole and the discovery of a meteorite apparently with evidence of life. With the Oval Office in the balance, the President dispatches White House Intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to the Milne Ice Shelf to verify the authenticity of the find. The discovery of the meteorite therefore becomes part of political powerplay in Washington and Sexton's daughter who's working for the NRO gets caught up in it. Once on the submarine, the scientists inform William Pickering, Director of the National Reconnaissance Office, of everything that has transpired since landing at the meteorite site. In the world of page-turning thrillers, Dan Brown holds a special place in the hearts of many of us.

The Polar episode climaxes with a murderous attack on the scientists and the daughter of the opposition candidate.A big yet believable story unfolding at breakneck pace, with convincing settings and just the right blend of likable and hateful characters. It was a well thought out plot with great character development, but I wanted more out of the novel. As I was reading the story, I flagged no less than a dozen examples of astonishing gadgetry that I was completely unaware of. Pickering, however, says that he is "sacrificing a few to save many", and that he will finish the job personally.
