Weller charts the former champ's pursuit of redemption in 'The Ballad Of Jimmy McCabe', taken from 'Jawbone (Music From The Film). The relative commercial failure of Confessions of a Pop Group certainly wasn’t down to the quality of the music it contained – it may be the Style Council’s best album. This album saw Weller move in a more experimental direction, taking in a wide variety of influences including jazz, folk and tango as well as the pop-soul more associated with his Style Council days.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty through the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to reschedule Paul's European 2021 tour to May/ June 2022. As the band's popularity increased, however, Weller became restless and wanted to explore a more soulful, melodic style of music with a broader instrumentation, and in consequence in 1982 he announced that the Jam would disband at the end of that year. We're proud to announce that Weller will be soundtracking the forthcoming boxing drama 'Jawbone', starring Ray Winstone, Michael Smiley and Ian McShane. The Jam wall' - first seen in 'In The City', later recreated to become the prime photo spot and highlight of the About The Young Idea exhibition - is up for auction. We're very pleased to announce Weller is playing a special In Concert gig for BBC Radio 2 at The Radio Theatre next Thursday 14th May.
