I get the author had her own struggles with various uterus derived illnesses but to dismiss how some woman choose to manage their cycle was very tone deaf to me.In this book, third generation hereditary witch Lisa Lister explains the history behind witchcraft, why in past centuries the word witch has led women to be tortured, drowned and burned at the stake, and why the witch is now waking once again in women across the world today. Perhaps there's more to this book after that first couple of pages, but I decided to walk away from the all-up-in-your-face approach of telling me I'm not empowered.
