A Secret Cornish Summer is blissful story, full of sunshine, secrets and Phillipa’s trademark romance, that I loved diving into. A Secret Cornish Summer is a fascinating read, with a magnificent storyline, full of interesting extensive details.

I loved characters, the three women from different generations, who’ve been there for each other through the good times and bad.Both were running away and trying to recover from things they'd experienced, so you knew that there would be secrets revealed and fireworks would explode. Since this a romance, I must say that the two destined for love are wonderfully suited for each other and I loved being on their journey to a happily ever after. Morwenna was another great character, and I'd like to read a story with her as the main character finding her love! The setting of the Cornish seaside as well as the lighthouse’s history was beautiful and fascinating at the same time. Eden lives with her mother in a cottage next to a lighthouse in Cornwall, since her ex-husband betrayed her she has struggled with making relationships with men.

Combines romance, humour and intrigue so well … The whole thing was so captivating, and I loved that there were secrets peppered and hinted at throughout … that I was desperate to uncover. Leven career as an officer in the army was over as he wes 'dismissed with disgracre from the army and jailed for two years'.

Although her chemistry with Levan is clear from the start, it also seems that he has past issues which he has tried to get away from.
