SMART CONTROL - Control from anywhere with the WiZ Connected app or go hands-free with voice control. The app makes it easy to invite family members and guests to control the lights without changing your settings. If you’re looking for that classic light bulb look, but don’t want the associated energy waste, then the Philips Wiz Filament Amber ST19 E26 is a great choice. The third difference, which can be a downside, is that the Wiz doesn’t natively support Apple’s HomeKit. You can still use Siri Shortcuts to control the lights via the Apple Shortcuts app, but the options may seem limited for dedicated HomeKit users. It would be nice if I could differ the intensity based on time of day, so that triggering at night only turned on "night light".

As these devices require a reliable internet connection for their work, you have to make sure that your internet isn’t facing any problems. The bulbs have been rated to last approximately 25,000 operating hours, and have a three-year warranty against any production defects. There are a few owners that pointed out that they had to remove the 5.0 GHz network or change the credentials for this network to avoid the same errors.No.1 I simply cannot do. Sensors cannot be configured to only turn on during certain hours, which basically leaves me with two options: Similarly, they should be able to suggest further ways through which you can troubleshoot your remote effectively. The speed of an effect can be controlled via a number entity An entity represents a sensor, actor, or function in Home Assistant. Entities are used to monitor physical properties or to control other entities. An entity is usually part of a device or a service. There’s a chance that you might have your lights placed too far away, which is why you are having range issues causing your remote not to work. However, you can set them all up within a few minutes or a few hours, depending on how many lights you’ve installed with the system.

If you want to set a room to have colorful smart lighting, then the Philips Wiz Bulb A21 E26 Full Color is a great choice for a main light. The occupancy sensors will only be added once a motion event is detected. Home Assistant can detect the sensors if they turn on at least one device when the room is occupied, and turn off at least one device when the room is not occupied. Sensors that are not linked to a device cannot be detected. The night light, on, off, and brightness buttons are all set to those specific functions and cannot be changed, as expected. What can be changed are the 4 color profile buttons, and change them I did. I set mine to warm white (which is the closest to an incandescent bulb I could find), daylight, cozy, and party. The first three are more generic modes and are comfortable for daily use. I would use the party mode on weekends to get the experience of the parties I wasn't invited to.As with other Wiz products, the smart bulb requires no hub and can be controlled via the Wiz Lighting app. Schedules can be set up to automatically turn these lights on and off, either remotely or via the cloud. These lights are Alexa and Google Assistant Compatible, and can sync easily with these networks. Siri users will have to use Siri Shortcuts, however, as the lights don’t work with the HomeKit. These bulbs are rated for indoor use with an estimated lifespan of about 25,000 hours of operation. Philips Wiz offers a three-year warranty for their light bulbs for any manufacturing defects. The colored version of the previous model, the Philips Wiz Reflector BR30 E26 Full Color are great accent lights for any room. With support from its parent company, Wiz seeks to offer consumers a relatively affordable smart lighting system. Its various Wi-Fi based lighting products adds convenience to your home without breaking the budget. Rest assured that any lighting product with the Wiz label was engineered with the customer’s needs in mind. That's where Wiz has changed the game. They sell plenty of different lighting and outlet options that all link to a single app (a very well designed, user-friendly app, might I add), that you then link to your Smart Home service of choice. They are affordably priced and the build quality seems on par with what you'd expect. The colors of the lights are accurate enough, although not as rich as Hue lights. But I can buy 8 Wiz bulbs for the price of 3 Hue bulbs, so I can live with that.

If you want to set dimmable bright lights for your rooms, then the Philips Wiz Bulb A21 E26 Dimmable is a good choice. Any smart light group can use a main light bulb to work around, and this model is perfect for the job.

Customer reviews

If you’re looking for that vintage aesthetic but want it a bit brighter than the last model on this list, then the Philips Wiz Filament Amber A19 E26 is for you. The WiZ integration Integrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. As with all Philips Wiz Lights, you don’t even need a hub to start using a smart lighting setup. Just connect them to your Wi-Fi, group the lights via the mobile app, and you’re done. Alexa and Google Assistant users can sync these lights to any existing smart network. Siri users are going to have to rely on Siri Shortcuts however, as there is no native HomeKit compatibility.
